Trump Responds to Biden’s Withdrawal: Predicts Easy Victory Over Harris in 2024
After President Joe Biden announced his decision not to seek re-election, his Republican rival, Donald Trump, quickly responded by claiming that Biden was never fit for the presidency and that Vice President Kamala Harris would be an easier opponent in the November election.
On his Truth Social platform, Trump wrote, “All those around him, including his Doctor and the Media, knew that he wasn’t capable of being President, and he wasn’t. We will suffer greatly because of his presidency, but we will remedy the damage he has done very quickly. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”

Biden, 81, ended his re-election campaign due to mounting concerns within the Democratic Party about his mental sharpness and electoral viability. He endorsed Harris to be the party’s nominee.
In his initial reaction to Biden’s withdrawal, Trump told CNN he believes Harris will be easier to defeat. Trump’s campaign advisors have publicly downplayed concerns about facing Harris, stating they can link her to Biden’s record, particularly on immigration and inflation.

Donald Trump Jr. echoed these sentiments, stating on social media that Harris “owns the entire left-wing policy record of Joe Biden” and criticized her handling of border issues.
House Republican Conference chairperson Elise Stefanik also weighed in, calling for Biden’s immediate resignation, citing his inability to run for re-election as proof of his unfitness for office.
