Article:
Human rights activist Omoyele Sowore has accused the Department of State Services (DSS) of unlawfully detaining 11 Nigerian citizens since 2021 over their alleged link to the Nnamdi Kanu court case. He described the prolonged detention as a grave violation of constitutional rights, calling for the detainees’ immediate release, compensation, and prosecution of DSS officers involved. Sowore also urged the Federal Government to shut down the Wawa Barracks detention facility, branding it a “dark site” used for human rights abuses.
