The 2025 Basketball Africa League (BAL) tipped off with fireworks as Nigeria’s Rivers Hoopers opened their Kalahari Conference campaign in Rabat, Morocco, with a dominant 81-60 victory over Stade Malien. Showcasing the age-old sports mantra that “defense wins championships,” the reigning Nigerian champions smothered their opponents with energy, precision, and unrelenting intensity.
