President Tinubu Calls for Unity and Dialogue Amidst #Protests
In a national broadcast on today (Sunday 4th August 2024), President Bola Tinubu urged Nigerians to halt the #EndBadGovernance protests and opt for dialogue as a means to address the nation’s challenges. Emphasizing his administration’s commitment to good governance, the President reassured citizens that their concerns are being heard.
A Call for Peace and Unity
President Tinubu expressed deep sorrow over the loss of lives and destruction of properties resulting from the protests. He highlighted that the damage to public and private assets not only sets the nation back but also diverts scarce resources that could be used for development.
“We must stop further bloodshed, violence, and destruction,” President Tinubu stated, extending his condolences to the families affected by the unrest.
Upholding Public Order
The President made it clear that his administration would not permit a few politically motivated individuals to disrupt the nation under the pretext of protests.
“As President of this country, I must ensure public order. In line with my constitutional oath to protect the lives and property of every citizen, our government will not stand idly by and allow a few with a clear political agenda to tear this nation apart,” he declared.

Building a Brighter Future Together
