President Tinubu Appoints Key Directors-General and Special Adviser in Strategic Agencies

In a significant move to strengthen his administration’s leadership, President Bola Tinubu has appointed three Directors-General for strategic agencies and a Special Adviser on Public Communications and Media. This strategic selection highlights Tinubu’s focus on expertise and dedication to advancing Nigeria’s sports, tourism, public procurement, and communication sectors.

The appointees include distinguished professionals with impressive backgrounds in their respective fields:

 

Olawale Olopade

  1. Olawale Olopade – Director-General, National Sports Commission:
    A seasoned sports administrator, Olopade brings a wealth of experience to the National Sports Commission. His past roles include serving as the Commissioner of Youth and Sports in Ogun State and leading the Local Organizing Committee for the 2024 National Sports Festival. His appointment is expected to inject fresh energy into Nigeria’s sports development and management.

    Abisoye Fagade

  2. Dr. Abisoye Fagade – Director-General, National Institute for Hospitality and Tourism:
    Known for his expertise in marketing communications, Dr. Fagade is the founder and managing director of Sodium Brand Solutions. As the new Director-General of the National Institute for Hospitality and Tourism, Fagade is set to drive tourism and hospitality advancements, aiming to position Nigeria as a top tourist destination.
  3. Dr. Adebowale Adedokun – Director-General, Bureau of Public Procurement:
    With extensive experience within the Bureau of Public Procurement, Dr. Adedokun previously held the position of Director of Research, Training, and Strategic Planning.   4. Daniel Bwala – Special Adviser on Media and Public Communications (State House):
