PFIPC Scandal Deepens: Alleged Fake DG Deletes Accounts as Fresh Claims Emerge
The controversy surrounding the Presidential Foreign Investment Promotion Council (PFIPC) has escalated after Adeniyi Adeyemi, who claimed to be the agency’s Director-General, reportedly deleted his social media accounts and websites following allegations that the council is non-existent.
The Presidency has accused Adeyemi of forgery and impersonation, filing an eight-count charge against him at the Federal High Court. Authorities allege he forged appointment documents and falsely presented himself as head of the PFIPC, while Adeyemi has denied all allegations and vowed to clear his name in court.

Adding to the controversy, sources claim Adeyemi briefly served as an aide to Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke in 2023 before being dismissed after about four months over alleged misconduct, including claims that he forged official signatures. The Presidency says investigations are ongoing to uncover those who allegedly facilitated the activities of the disputed agency.
