The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has extended an invitation to former President Olusegun Obasanjo to tour the recently rehabilitated Port Harcourt Refinery in Rivers State. This gesture aims to provide Obasanjo with an opportunity to verify the refinery’s operational capacity and achievements.

The invitation follows Obasanjo’s recent comments during an interview with Channels Television, where he expressed skepticism about the refinery’s functionality. In response, the NNPCL highlighted its progress and achievements, emphasizing its commitment to transparency and national development.

“We warmly invite our esteemed former president to witness the strides we’ve made,” the NNPCL stated. “His wealth of experience and leadership are assets we value deeply. We look forward to his insights and guidance as we continue our journey of progress.”
