NLC President Joe Ajero Arrested in Imo State
The President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Comrade Joe Ajaero, was arrested by armed policemen in Owerri, the capital of Imo State, on Wednesday. He was taken away from the NLC State Council Secretariat to an unknown location.
This was confirmed by the NLC’s head of media, Mr. Benson Uper, who sent a WhatsApp message to labour correspondents.

The NLC is leading a protest and strike in Imo State over the alleged disrespect and non-payment of workers by the state government.
