Nigeria’s Troost-Ekong to be back by Mid-May after suffering injury
AFCON MVP, Nigeria’s Troost Ekong is expected to return to action in mid-May.
The Super Eagles defender and vice-captain of the team William Troost-Ekong has shared a positive update on his recovery from recent surgery, indicating progress beyond expectations.
In a statement he released today through his agency, The BFA Agency, Troost-Ekong expressed optimism about his rehabilitation process staing “Everything is going well,”
“I’m actually slightly ahead of schedule in my rehab. I’m off the crutches, I’m working out in the gym and pool, and very eager to get back on the pitch and start building my fitness back up.”

“Looking ahead,” Troost-Ekong continued, “my goal is to be much fitter by mid-May, ready to contribute if PAOK reaches the European Conference League Final.
“Of course, the crucial World Cup qualifiers for Nigeria come right after that, and I’m definitely focused on being ready to contribute there as well.”
