Lagos Launches Academies for Research and Innovation, Inducts 40 Public Servants into IARSA

A Collaboration to Propel Research Excellence and Strategic Thinking

Lagos State Government has partnered with the International Association of Research Scholars and Administrators (IARSA) to launch two academies aimed at boosting research and innovation in the state.

The Centre for Educational Planning, Economics & Research Development and the Academy of Innovative Research, Science & Technological Development were unveiled at a recent event at the Public Service Staff Development Centre (PSSDC) in Magodo.

The initiative, which also saw the induction of 40 new members into IARSA, is a significant step towards strengthening Lagos’ research capabilities and driving future development.

Speakers at the event, including the Honourable Commissioner for Establishments and Training, Mr. Afolabi Ayantayo, highlighted the importance of research in effective service delivery.

 

The collaboration between PSSDC and IARSA is seen as a catalyst for fostering a culture of research excellence and strategic thinking within the public service. It aims to empower employees to contribute to the state’s economic and social progress.
