“I understand the hardship this has caused. As someone who also moves through this city, I feel your pain, and we do not take your patience for granted,” Sanwo-Olu stated.

The Independence Bridge, a 60-year-old structure, has been under careful assessment for over three years due to concerns about its structural integrity. Experts warned that any further delays in maintenance could lead to catastrophic failure, making the repair an urgent necessity.
