The 24-year-old is listed for the 2024 edition, running from June 19 to 23 at Molade Okoya-Thomas Hall, Teslim Balogun Stadium. “Lagos was the first event where I reached the last 16, defeating higher-ranked players. This year, I’m hopeful for an even better performance,” Thakkar said.
Recalling his Lagos experience, Thakkar praised the local support and diverse food options, which contributed to his success. “The fans and the hospitality were exceptional. The traffic reminded me of India, and the hotel’s daily Indian dish was a nice touch,” he added.
