Farm Junction Foundation (FJF) Unveils the Inaugural “Most Beautiful Farmer” Empowerment Program in Lagos
Farm Junction Foundation (FJF), the social responsibility arm of Farm Junction Limited, is thrilled to announce the launch of the “Most Beautiful Farmer (MBF) Lagos” project. This pioneering initiative merges agricultural empowerment with an innovative pageantry format, designed to uplift and celebrate Nigeria’s dynamic farming community. The project aims to “make farming cool” while equipping female farmers with essential skills for success.

As part of Farm Junction’s mission to bolster food security in Nigeria, FJF is dedicated to community development. The Most Beautiful Farmer project is its flagship initiative, offering female farmers in Lagos technical training in agriculture, marketing, communication, and distribution. The program runs from September 15 to October 16, 2024, with the grand finale coinciding with World Food Day.

In collaboration with the Lagos State Ministry of Agriculture and other partners, the participants will engage in hands-on training, mentorship, and public engagement activities. The winner will receive a brand-new truck, N5 million in seed funding, and farming tools to improve their agricultural production and distribution.

“Our goal is to make agriculture attractive to the younger generation while providing farmers with the tools and knowledge to succeed,” said Dumebi Oluwole, Project Coordinator for MBF. Yinka Omogoye, CEO of Farm Junction Ltd., echoed the sentiment, stating, “This project aligns with our vision of connecting farmers directly to consumers, ensuring price stability, and enhancing Nigeria’s food security.”
