EFCC Orders Probe into N15 Million Bribery Allegations by Bobrisky
The Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Mr. Ola Olukoyede, has initiated an immediate investigation into bribery allegations leveled against some officers of the Commission by popular internet personality Idris Okuneye, also known as Bobrisky.

In a viral video, shared by activist Martins Vincent Otse (a.k.a. VeryDarkMan), Okuneye, an ex-convict, accused unnamed EFCC officers of extorting ₦15 million from him in exchange for dropping money laundering charges. The claims have sparked widespread reactions online and raised serious concerns about potential misconduct within the anti-graft agency.
Reacting swiftly, the EFCC’s leadership has assigned a dedicated team of investigators to thoroughly examine the allegations. Both Okuneye and Otse have been formally invited to the Commission’s Lagos Directorate to assist in the investigation.

The EFCC reassures the public that the investigation will be handled with the utmost transparency, and the findings will be made public once concluded.
