The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has confirmed the arrest of Kannywood star Samha Inuwa after a viral video showed her allegedly using Nigerian currency notes inappropriately.
The incident, which sparked outrage across social media, captured Inuwa cleaning mucus from her nose with Naira notes. The EFCC’s Kano Zonal Directorate traced and detained her on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, for questioning.
According to the Commission, Inuwa is currently being held at its detention facility while investigations continue. She is expected to face charges in court once the inquiry is concluded.
