Davido Sets Stage Ablaze with ‘5 Alive’ Tour Lineup — But Exits UK Stadium Gig Over ‘Unaligned Vision’

Afrobeats sensation and five-time Grammy nominee Davido is hitting the road this summer with some of Nigeria’s brightest stars — but not without shaking things up first. While the anticipation for his ‘5 Alive’ Tour continues to grow, the global icon has opted out of a much-publicized performance at London’s Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, where he was set to share the stage with 50 Cent and Mary J. Blige. According to Davido, the decision was due to “unaligned vision” between his team and the event promoters.

Still, fans have a lot to look forward to. Launching July 13 in Los Angeles, the ‘5 Alive’ Tour will showcase the incredible talents of Victony, Odumodublvck, and Morravey, who will be joining Davido across a string of sold-out venues in the U.S. and Canada.

Meet the ‘5 Alive’ Dream Team

Morravey, the DMW signee who first captured hearts with “In The Garden” off Davido’s 2023 album ‘Timeless’, is opening the shows. Her 2024 self-titled EP further solidified her as one of Afropop’s most versatile newcomers.

Odumodublvck, who’s leading the Nigerian hip-hop revival, comes in hot with an arsenal of hits including “Picanto”. His fiery verse on Davido’s “Funds” (featuring Chike) from the new ‘5ive’ album and his Headies Next Rated win make him a fan favorite on this tour.

Victony, the boundary-pushing Afrobeats star, rounds out the lineup with his genre-blending sound — a mix of R&B, trap, and amapiano. His artistic evolution complements Davido’s own sonic growth, making his appearance a major draw.

U.S. and Canadian Tour Dates

The ‘5 Alive’ Tour features stops at top-tier venues, including the State Farm Arena in Atlanta and the Barclays Center in Texas. In Canada, Davido will bring the Afrobeats wave to the 19,000-capacity Scotiabank Arena and 10,000-seater Place Bell.

Fans can expect a thrilling live experience filled with timeless hits and new favorites from his fifth studio album, ‘5ive’.

Whether he’s shaking up tour lineups or stages across continents, one thing is clear: Davido is keeping the culture alive — and the world is watching.
