Daily Trust Newspaper Faces Lawsuit for Fabricated LGBTQ+ Allegations in Samoa Agreement Coverage

Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, announced this during a joint press briefing in Abuja. Idris condemned Daily Trust for fabricating a story alleging that the government signed the Samoa Agreement to promote LGBTQ+ rights in Nigeria, highlighting the absence of such content in the agreement. He also criticized the newspaper for promoting misleading narratives in the past, including baseless accusations and fabricated stories.
