Nigerian music sensation Asake, born Ahmed Ololade, has finally addressed concerns regarding his father, Fatai Odunsi, after days of public scrutiny. Following Odunsi’s emotional plea for financial assistance due to his deteriorating health, the singer has reportedly taken full responsibility for his father’s treatment and is making efforts to mend their strained relationship.

Asake’s Father Clears the Air on Their Relationship

In a recent interview conducted by Mr. Milgaga, Asake’s father expressed pain and disappointment over his son’s prolonged silence but acknowledged that their differences have now been resolved. Odunsi revealed that Asake has not only covered his medical expenses but has also initiated plans to secure a home for him.

Additionally, the singer has pledged to care for his 11-year-old daughter, whom he had previously been accused of neglecting.

Debunking the ‘Deadbeat Dad’ Claims

The interview also addressed rumors about Asake’s father being an absentee parent during the singer’s upbringing. Responding to questions from the interviewer, Odunsi firmly denied ever being an irresponsible father.

Backing up his claims, the interviewer confirmed that residents of Isale Eko, where Asake’s family lived, testified that Odunsi was actively involved in his son’s welfare and development.
