European teams release squad list for Euros 2024

European football team managers have started releasing their provisional list of players ahead of the June 7 deadline for a final shortlist of 26 players.

Some of the most controversial lists include Portugal’s 26-man squad which has the inclusion of 39 year old Cristiano Ronaldo and 41 year old Pepe as the 2 oldest in the team as well as 9 premier league stars.

Also England  released a 33-man provisional list to be pruned down to 26 before the deadline. The list includes a lot of uncapped players made the list with the obvious omissions of premier league players, Marcus Rashford, Joe Henderson, Raheem Sterling and a few others but the inclusion of Captain, Harry Kane with the likes of Phil Foden, Jude Bellingham, Harry Kane and Bukayo Saka who all enjoyed sensational club seasons.

France, Hungary and Croatia have also submitted their 26-man squads with Germany, Netherlands, Ukraine, Serbia and Switzerland join England to release just a provisional squad.

The European Championships also known as the Euros will be having its 17th edition played out in Germany with 24 teams vying to become Europe’s champion, from June 15 to July 14.
