The EFCC prosecutor, Rotimi Oyedepo (SAN), along with seven other lawyers representing the chairman of the Commission, filed the charge on April 4th. The charges include allegations of tampering with funds in the denomination of N500 (Five Hundred Naira) issued by the Central Bank of Nigeria by spraying them during social events on multiple occasions.

This development comes shortly after the EFCC arraigned controversial cross-dresser Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, on similar charges, resulting in a six-month jail sentence.
