“DHQ Urges Nigerians: ‘No Gree for Insecurity’ in 2024 – Citizens’ Collective Action Key”

Boom RadioNG | January 12, 2024

In a bid to strengthen the fight against insecurity, the Defence Headquarters (DHQ) has issued a compelling call to action to all Nigerians. Major General Edward Buba, the Director of Defence Media Operations, emphasized the collective responsibility of citizens in combatting insecurity, adopting the popular social media slang, “No gree for anybody,” to resonate with the public.

Addressing the nation during the DHQ’s bi-weekly media briefing in Abuja, Major General Buba urged Nigerians to actively participate in ensuring security by reporting any suspicious activities. In his words, “You see something, you say something, and we assure them of doing something.”

As the country enters 2024, the DHQ stresses the significance of citizens standing firm against terrorists and perpetrators of insecurity. Major General Buba delivered the message in pidgin English, emphasizing the need for a united front against the prevailing security challenges.

He reaffirmed the military’s commitment to finding and destroying terrorists wherever they may be hiding, ensuring their enduring defeat. The focus remains on hunting down terrorist commanders and their senior leadership, with a resolute stance that they are “dead men walking.”

Stay informed and engaged in the collective effort to secure the nation. Report any suspicious activities, stand united against insecurity, and be part of the solution. Together, let’s ensure a safer and more secure Nigeria in 2024.
