Bournemouth’s Dominic Solanke win’s premier league player of the month award

The English premier has announced Bournemouth striker, Dominic Solanke as its December 2023’s Player of the Month. By virtue of this, Solanke becomes the first ever Bournemouth player to win the award.

Solanke wins the prize for the first time in his career after scoring 6 Premier League goals in December and is just behind Erling Haaland and Mohamed Salah in the race to be this season’s top scorer.

The 26-year-old netted in a 2-2 draw with Aston Villa, recorded his first career hat-trick to inspire a 3-2 turnaround win at Nottingham Forest, and scored in the 3-0 victories over both Manchester United and Fulham.

His top form has helped Bournemouth win four and drawn one of their six December matches to climb to within three points of the top half of the table.

Solanke is only the fourth Bournemouth player or manager to win a Premier League monthly award.

Solanke topped an eight-man shortlist with the likes of teammate, Marcos Senesi, Liverpool’s Trent Alexander Arnold, Wolves’ Matheus Cunha, West Ham’s Mohammed Kudus, Crystal Palace’s Michael Olise, Chelsea’s Cole palmer and Tottenham’s Son Heung-min
