Adire is a traditional Yoruba textile produced using various dyeing techniques. It is renowned for its intricate patterns and vibrant colors, making it a symbol of Yoruba identity and artistry. The governor’s directive has been welcomed by Adire producers and cultural enthusiasts, who see it as a much-needed boost for the industry.

The mandate applies to all categories of public servants, including state government employees, local government officials, and tertiary institution staff. It is expected that the weekly display of Adire will foster a sense of unity and cultural pride among Osun residents.
