Nigerian Rapper Oladips Passes Away at 28

Nigerian rapper Oladips, whose real name was Oladipupo Olabode Oladimeji, has passed away at the age of 28. His death was announced on his official Instagram page on Wednesday, November 15, 2023.

The statement from the management reads:

“We are saddened to inform the general public that Oladipupo Olabode Oladimeji aka 0LADIPS has passed away.

His body is now with his family & funeral services will be announced as it is concluded!”

Oladips was born in Lagos, Nigeria. He started rapping in his early teens and quickly gained a following for his unique blend of Afrobeats, hip-hop, and pop.

Rapper Oladips Passes Away at 28,

Oladips released a couple of EP’s like the “Àjàlá Travel EP”, “Broke Boy” and also “Mainland To Island -The Ep” a colaboration with Zlatan Ibile. The hard working Rapper also released several singles and sadly postponed the release of his 17 track album till later in the year as a form of respect to his friend and colleague “Mohbad” who passed away a few months ago and whom he revealed during an interview that he also featured in his forthcoming album. Oladips has also featured or collaborated top Nigerian stars. Olamide, Reminisce, Jesse Jags, Mayorkun and Slimcase to name a few.

Oladips’s death is a major loss for the Nigerian music industry. He was a talented and promising artist who was sure to achieve great things.
