BBNaija Week 7: Gerard Evicted as Nomy Is Disqualified and Tram Takes HoH
Big Brother Naija Season 11 delivered another eventful week of evictions, romance, rivalry and disciplinary drama, with Gerard Adebija becoming the eighth housemate to leave the Show Ya Sef house while Nomy became the first contestant this season to be disqualified.
Gerard’s six-week stay ended on Sunday, September 6, after he was among 15 housemates nominated for eviction and ultimately received the lowest level of public support.
During his post-eviction conversation with host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, Gerard said he was not completely surprised by the result, describing the game as increasingly political and intense.
He maintained that he had deliberately avoided what he regarded as the manipulation and politics within the house.
His approach, however, divided viewers, with some praising him for remaining true to himself while others felt his tendency to speak at length may have worked against him.
Barry Wins Most Influential Player
While Gerard’s eviction dominated the weekend, Barry had reason to celebrate after being named the week’s Most Influential Player.
The recognition came with BB Bucks and an air fryer, although the title did not provide immunity from eviction.
Saturday night had already set the tone for an unpredictable weekend with the “Switch Up Saturday” party.
Housemates were required to change partners whenever Biggie’s switch music played, with DJ Neptune providing the night’s soundtrack.
Away from the party, Bells and Yusuf continued to attract attention as their relationship developed.
The pair opened up about their lives outside the house and revealed that they both have children, adding another layer to one of the season’s closely followed relationships.
Tram Takes Over as Head of House
The new week brought another major development when Tram emerged as the Week Seven Head of House after defeating the other contenders.
The victory secured immunity from eviction and gave Tram control of the HoH position.
He selected Flora as his companion in the HoH loft.
But the celebrations were short-lived.
Nomy Disqualified From the Show
Tram’s HoH victory was quickly overshadowed by Nomy’s disqualification.
According to the supplied account, Nomy had previously received several warnings for failing to follow Big Brother’s instructions.
Her latest disciplinary issue followed her decision to abandon the bench and vest assigned to her after she performed poorly during the HoH challenge and was designated the week’s “Benchwarmer.”
Biggie subsequently told her that participation in the show was a privilege and revoked that privilege.
She was given 30 minutes to leave the house.
Nomy’s departure marked the first disciplinary disqualification of the season, rather than an eviction decided by public voting.
New Nomination Twist Raises the Stakes
With Tram now holding the HoH position, another nomination twist placed 13 housemates initially at risk.
Biggie introduced hidden envelopes and a “safe or not” card into the process.
Keivo found the card, leaving Tram with the decision to either save him or place him at risk.
The new HoH chose to save Keivo.
The house then turned its attention to the upcoming “Bag of Tricks” wager task, with Biggie challenging the contestants to create a circus and musical showcase.
As expected, preparation for the task was not entirely smooth.
Oyin and other housemates faced accusations of withholding effort because of previous disagreements, while Chimsom Chuka later advised Tram to reconsider his leadership approach and work harder to unite the house.
Dano Task Provides a Break From the Tension
Amid the arguments and shifting alliances, the housemates still had opportunities to compete for prizes.
During the Thursday Dano Milk task, the contestants were divided into four teams.
Team Evap Milk, made up of Bells, Flora, Ricky and Tram, emerged victorious with 90 points.
The competition featured word puzzles, nutrition activities and a presentation focused on children’s growth and family wellbeing.
There was also a quieter emotional moment when Araga brought flowers from the Diary Room and placed them beside Goddessa’s picture, following Goddessa’s earlier eviction.
Relationships and Rivalries Continue to Shape the House
Away from the tasks and competitions, relationships remained central to the week’s storyline.
Bells and Yusuf continued to navigate their increasingly complicated connection, while tensions between Tram and Sheba intensified.
Both accused the other of disloyalty and talking behind their backs.
The arguments became serious enough for Ebuka to remind the housemates not to involve relatives in their disagreements as personal conflicts threatened to spill into sensitive areas.
Who Is Playing the Smartest Game?
With Gerard gone and Nomy’s disciplinary exit adding another unexpected twist, the conversation around Season 11 appears to be moving beyond the simple question of who will eventually win.
Viewers are increasingly debating who is playing the smartest game.
Tram now has the power that comes with the Head of House position, while relationships involving Bells, Yusuf and Sheba continue to develop alongside the wider network of friendships and rivalries.
Gerard’s departure, Nomy’s disqualification and Tram’s new position have therefore made the Show Ya Sef house even more difficult to predict.
