Real Warri Pikin Cancels Warri Show Over “Unfortunate Divisions”
Nigerian comedian and actress Real Warri Pikin has cancelled her planned show in Warri, Delta State, citing what she described as “unfortunate divisions” surrounding the event.
The entertainer announced the cancellation on her official Instagram account, expressing disappointment that a situation she believed should have brought people together had instead become affected by division.
The show was scheduled to take place in Warri in the coming weeks, but Real Warri Pikin said circumstances arising from the ongoing divisions had made its cancellation necessary.
She said the decision came with a “heavy heart”, while making it clear that the development would not change her identity, ambitions or the reach of her brand.

Real Warri Pikin stressed that she does not want her career or public identity to be defined solely by geography, family background or local politics.
According to her, the Real Warri Pikin brand represents a much wider community.
She said she represents every local government in Delta State, as well as Nigeria and Africa, adding that her platform also allows her to speak for women across different tribes, races and borders.
The entertainer said she would not allow her calling or career to be reduced to “geography, tribe or politics”.
Her comments come as the controversy surrounding the planned Warri event has drawn attention beyond the entertainment space, raising broader conversations about unity, identity and the role of public figures in their communities.
‘The show may be cancelled, but the vision is not’
Despite the cancellation, Real Warri Pikin said she remains committed to contributing positively to Delta State, Nigeria and the wider African community.
She also thanked people who contacted her during the controversy, including those who offered advice, encouragement and emotional support.
While expressing disappointment over the circumstances, the comedian said she held no bitterness towards those whose actions contributed to the situation.
Instead, she called for greater understanding and unity, arguing that communities can achieve more when they work together rather than allow divisions to take centre stage.
For Real Warri Pikin, the cancellation therefore does not signal the end of her connection with Warri or Delta State. She maintained that she remains proudly Delta and Nigerian, while continuing to pursue the broader vision behind her brand.
The immediate future of the cancelled Warri show remains unclear, but her statement has shifted attention from the cancelled event to a wider message about identity, unity and the ability of entertainment to connect communities.
