Speaking on ChannelsTv’s Politics Today, the NDC vice-presidential candidate said the agreement reflects the long-standing principle of rotating Nigeria’s presidency between the North and South. Kwankwaso expressed confidence that Obi would honour the commitment and hand over power to a Northern candidate after four years.

Obi has previously stated that a single-term presidency would respect the country’s unwritten power-sharing arrangement, especially with President Bola Tinubu expected to complete one term in office.
