Mike Ozekhome Suspended as SAN Pending Disciplinary Proceedings
The Legal Practitioners’ Privileges Committee (LPPC) has suspended renowned lawyer Chief Mike Ozekhome from the prestigious rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) pending the outcome of ongoing disciplinary proceedings.
The decision was approved at the LPPC’s 173rd General Meeting on June 23, 2026. According to the committee, the suspension is aimed at protecting the integrity and prestige of the SAN rank while investigations continue before its Disciplinary and Ethics Sub-Committee.

As a result, Ozekhome is prohibited from presenting or identifying himself as a Senior Advocate of Nigeria until a final decision is reached. The LPPC reiterated its commitment to maintaining the highest standards of ethics, professionalism, and public trust within Nigeria’s legal profession.
