Omo-Agege Quits APC, Sparks Fresh Speculation Over Possible NDC Move
Former Deputy Senate President, Ovie Omo-Agege, has officially resigned from the All Progressives Congress (APC), deepening the growing political realignments ahead of Nigeria’s 2027 elections.
In a statement released through his media aide, Omo-Agege said his decision followed extensive consultations with supporters and political associates, as well as recent developments within the APC in Delta State. The former lawmaker stressed that he could no longer remain in a party where he was unable to effectively advance the interests of Delta Central and his political vision.
Omo-Agege confirmed that his resignation takes immediate effect and revealed he has requested the removal of his name from all APC membership records. While he thanked the ruling party for the opportunity to serve as Deputy President of the 9th Senate, political observers are already speculating about his next destination.
