Ogun State is witnessing a historic transformation today, Saturday, April 4, 2026, as President Bola Ahmed Tinubu arrives for a high-profile one-day working visit. Hosted by Governor Dapo Abiodun, the visit serves as the official launchpad for a sweeping array of “legacy projects” designed to cement the state’s position as Nigeria’s premier industrial and logistics hub.

Aviation Takeoff: Gateway International Airport & Gateway Air

The centerpiece of today’s visit is the commissioning of the Gateway International Airport, Iperu. • Gateway Air Launched: The President will unveil the state’s new aviation initiative, Gateway Air, along with two newly acquired aircraft.

  • Logistics Powerhouse: A cargo operations showcase will signal the airport’s readiness to serve as a major export-import terminal for the region.
