Nigeria Sovereign Investment Authority signs MoU with UK based Asset Green

Nigeria is set for a major agricultural transformation as the Nigeria Sovereign Investment Authority (NSIA) partners with Asset Green Ltd to develop a large-scale dairy production and processing hub aimed at reducing reliance on imported milk.

The agreement, signed in London, outlines a $500 million investment that will integrate 20,000 hectares of climate-smart farming with a 10,000-cow dairy facility and a modern processing plant producing milk, butter, and infant formula.

According to NSIA CEO Aminu Umar-Sadiq, the project will strengthen Nigeria’s food security, modernize agriculture, and create thousands of jobs—with projections of over $620 million in annual revenue.

The initiative is also expected to empower up to 10,000 rural households through out-grower schemes, positioning Nigeria as a competitive player in the global dairy industry.

The deal aligns with broader economic cooperation between Nigeria and the UK, supported during engagements involving Bola Tinubu and King Charles III.
