Heist in the Hive: Beyoncé’s Unreleased Music Stolen in Atlanta — Police Close In on Suspect

Boom RadioNG | July 16, 2025

Think twice before messing with the Beyhive. Atlanta police are closing in on a suspect after a brazen break-in resulted in the theft of unreleased Beyoncé music, confidential tour plans, and personal tech from her choreographer’s rented vehicle during her Atlanta tour stop.

Beyoncé’s electrifying four-night Cowboy Carter Tour run in Atlanta opened on a sour note after choreographer Christopher Grant‘s Jeep Wagoneer was burglarized near the Krog Street Market on the night of July 8. According to the Atlanta Police Department, Grant and fellow dancer Diandre Blue had stopped at a nearby restaurant for dinner. When they returned an hour later, they discovered the vehicle’s back window smashed and two suitcases gone.

What was inside? Not just clothes or luxury accessories — the stolen items included two laptops and five jump drives containing unreleased Beyoncé tracks, tour setlists, exclusive footage, and production plans. The theft sparked serious concerns about intellectual property leaks and raised red flags across the music industry.

“They have my computer, and it’s really, really important information in there,” said Grant in a released 911 call. “I work with someone who is, like, of a high status.”

Grant’s devices were pinging via Apple’s Find My feature, prompting a quick police response. Officers reportedly lifted “very light” fingerprints from the black SUV and tracked the signal to a suspicious vehicle nearby. Although a suspect vehicle was identified, as of Monday, the arrest warrant had been issued but the suspect remains at large.

This wasn’t the only chaos of the ATL tour leg. On the final night, panic broke out at Vine City MARTA station after an escalator malfunctioned, accelerating and then halting abruptly, triggering screams and a minor stampede. Several fans were injured and stretchered out by medics.

Despite these disturbances, Beyoncé delivered yet another show-stopping performance. She now heads west for the final shows of her Cowboy Carter Tour in Las Vegas, scheduled for July 25–26.

As Atlanta reels from the Bey heist and escalator chaos, one thing remains clear: Queen Bey is unshaken — but her team is watching closely.
