As anticipation builds for the 2025 AFCON and WAFCON tournaments, Danone FanMilk, the newest official partner of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), has pledged an unforgettable experience for fans across Africa — powered by the twin goals of excitement and nutrition.

Fresh off signing a landmark Partnership Agreement with CAF, Danone FanMilk is set to bring a new dimension of engagement to African football, combining the continent’s love for the beautiful game with its mission to promote health and well-being through nutritious food products.

“We want to make good health through food accessible to as many fans as possible,” said Antoine de Saint-Affrique, CEO of Danone, emphasizing the company’s Africa-forward vision.

Football + Food: A Winning Formula for Africa

Recognizing the emotional and cultural power of football in Africa, Christian Stammkoetter, President of Danone Africa, Middle East, and Asia, highlighted the sport as “a powerful platform” to drive awareness, engagement, and healthy lifestyle choices among the youth and fans.

“Football is Africa’s number one sport. Through our partnership with CAF and tournaments like AFCON and WAFCON, we’re positioned to make a real impact,” Stammkoetter said.

In Nigeria, Kayode Adebiyi, Country Director of Danone FanMilk, and Olakunle Olusanya, Director/General Secretary of FanMilk West Africa, underscored the brand’s dedication to grassroots football, especially through CAF’s African Schools’ Football Programme — a platform that nurtures young talent while promoting sportsmanship and nutrition.

“Our commitment is not just about branding; it’s about being present and active in creating a memorable, nourishing experience for everyone involved,” said Adebiyi.

Fueling the Game: Nutrition for Over 20,000 Stakeholders

The brand’s engagement will go beyond sponsorship, with over 10,000 volunteers, 5,000 accredited journalists, officials, and team members expected to receive Danone FanMilk products at match venues and fan zones. Fans attending games across the continent will also enjoy refreshing treats — reinforcing the brand’s pledge to be part of every game-day moment.

From hydration before kickoff to energy post-match, Danone FanMilk’s offerings will be part of the fan journey from start to finish.

Impact Beyond the Pitch

With the launch of this high-impact partnership, Danone FanMilk is positioning itself as a purpose-driven brand deeply aligned with CAF’s vision of empowering communities through football.

Whether through supporting youth development, championing healthy living, or creating memorable fan experiences, this partnership signifies a new era of sport meets nutrition in Africa.
