Nigeria’s Road to Redemption: AFCON 2025 Draw Unveiled
The stage is set for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), as the Super Eagles of Nigeria find themselves in Group C alongside Tunisia, Uganda, and Tanzania. The draw, held in Rabat on Monday, promises an exciting tournament in Morocco, where Nigeria will aim to reclaim their continental glory.

With three AFCON titles under their belt (1980, 1994, and 2013), Nigeria is determined to bounce back after their narrow loss in the last final to Côte d’Ivoire. However, the journey won’t be easy. Tunisia, a seasoned AFCON contender, poses a significant challenge, while Uganda and Tanzania bring youthful vigor and unpredictability to the group.
The tournament kicks off on December 21, 2025, with group stage matches running through December 31, excluding Christmas Day. The knockout stages, culminating in the final on January 18, 2026, promise high-octane football as Africa’s best battle for supremacy.
