Dangote Group Denies Fixing Petrol Price, Clarifies Misleading Reports
The Dangote Group has refuted recent claims regarding the projected petrol price of N600 per liter, as reported by Punch Newspapers on August 13, 2024. The company has issued a statement clarifying that the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) is not a business partner of the Dangote Group and has never been involved in discussions regarding the pricing of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS).
The Dangote Group emphasized that IPMAN does not have the mandate or authority to speak on its behalf, either positively or negatively. The company urged the public to disregard speculative reports and assured that any official announcements regarding fuel pricing would be communicated through its established channels.
