Davido Takes Legal Action Against False April Fools Arrest Article
Afrobeats sensation Davido has announced plans to pursue legal action over a false April Fools article claiming he was arrested for drug offences.
The Nigerian singer-songwriter, a three-time Grammy Award nominee, took to social media to refute the claims, stating that he has never been arrested and deeming the reports “entirely untrue.”

In a statement, Davido expressed his frustration over the irresponsible fabrication of allegations, emphasizing that such false claims can have serious consequences despite being presented in the context of April Fools’ Day.
After receiving a barrage of calls following the viral spread of the article, Davido clarified that he has returned home to Nigeria after successful performances in Uganda and Kenya.
