Governor of Rivers State approves N100,000 Christmas bonus for civil servants
Governor of Rivers state, Siminalayi Fubara, has approved the sum of N100,000 each for all civil servants in the State.
The bonus will go to the thousands of workers in the different Ministries, Departments, And Agencies.
This was disclosed by the State Commissioner for Information and Communication, Mr. Joe Johnson stating that the approval was given on Tuesday for “immediate implementation to enable the civil servants to have a wonderful yuletide celebration.”

Governor Fubara has consistently spoken about his desire to improve the welfare of civil servants and serve the interests of the low-income earners in the state.
The governor, who was the immediate past Accountant General of the state, is the first civil servant to serve as the Governor of Rivers State.
