“Peter Obi Asserts Supreme Court Judgment as a Significant Breach of Confidence

Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party in Nigeria, has said that the Supreme Court judgment upholding the election of Bola Tinubu as president is a breach of confidence.

Obi made the remarks in an interview with journalists on Wednesday, August 30, 2023. He said that the Supreme Court judgment had eroded public confidence in the judiciary and in the electoral process.

“The Supreme Court judgment is a breach of confidence,” Obi said. “It has eroded public confidence in the judiciary and in the electoral process. Nigerians are no longer sure that they can get justice from the courts or that their votes will count.”

Obi called on the Nigerian people to continue to demand for good governance and to hold their leaders accountable. He said that the Supreme Court judgment should not deter Nigerians from fighting for a better future for their country.

“I urge Nigerians not to give up hope,” Obi said. “We must continue to demand for good governance and to hold our leaders accountable. The Supreme Court judgment should not deter us from fighting for a better future for our country.”.
