87.2million PVCs collected for 2023 general elections – INEC

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced that a total of 87,209,007 permanent voter cards (PVCs) have been collected across the country and are expected to vote during the 2023 general elections out of the 93.4 million registered voters.

This was disclosed by the chairman of the independent national electoral commission, Mahmood Yakubu today during a media briefing at the national collation center in Abuja. He added that about 13.6 million new PVCs were printed for those who registered newly or applied to transfer their voters cards or requested replacement.

This represents about 93.3 percent of the total registered voters in the country with about 6.2 million registered voters failing to collect their Permanent Voters Cards(PVCs).
