Super Falcons arrive in Morocco ahead of the Women’s African Cup of Nations

The Super Falcons of Nigeria have landed in Morocco host country of the 2022 Africa Women Cup of Nations (WAFCON).

The Super Falcons arrived in Casablanca today, June 27, 2022.

This was announced by the Director of Communications of Nigeria Football Federation, Ademola Olajire.

He said, “They have already moved to Morocco’s administrative capital, Rabat where the team will camp for seven days before their opening Group C match against South Africa’s Banyana Banyana.”



Super Falcons of Nigeria


The Super Falcons’ game against South Africa will take place on July 4 in Rabat.

Then they will proceed take on Botswana and Burundi on July 7 and 10, respectively, in rest of the group stage games.

All four semi-finalists in Morocco will qualify to represent the continent at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.

The fifth-placed team at the WAFCON will also have an opportunity to qualify for the World Cup through a Playoff Tournament scheduled for early next year.
