PDP announces vice presidential candidate for the 2023 presidential elections

The people’s democratic party has officially announced a running mate for its presidential Candidate, Atiku Abubakar. The Delta State Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, has been named as party’s vice presidential candidate for the 2023 presidential race.

Former vice president, Abubakar Atiku announced Okowa’s name on his verified Twitter handle today. He said “I am delighted to announce Governor @IAOkowa as my Vice Presidential candidate. I look forward to travelling our great country together, engaging with all Nigerians and building a shared future of peace, unity, and prosperity for all. As One We Can Get It Done. #OneNigeria.

However, Governor Ifeanyi Okowa has thanked Atiku Abubakar for picking him as his running mate, noting that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) needs to return to power.

He said this while accepting his nomination stating that there is work ahead for members of the party, called on them to work collectively.
