The National Association of Nigerian Students has today condemned the industrial action the Academic staff union of universities, ASUU have decided to embark on.
NANS President, Asefon Sunday made this known in a statement expressing “great disappointment” at the four-week warning strike ASUU have decided to begin. The president expressed displeasure faulting both the Federal Government and the ASUU leadership for failure to resolve their issues amicably without it resorting in a strike.
In light of this development he has now announced that Nigerian students will stage a nationwide protest to demonstrate their dissatisfaction.
The ASUU president, Osodeke had earlier at a press conference today said ASUU’s National Executive Council have resolved to embark on the strike as the government has failed to implement the Memorandum of Action it signed with the union in December 2020.
