Westham players demand for increase in wages after Zouma’s wages became public
West Ham United is said to be dealing with a set of unhappy players asking for an increase in wages after the wages of fellow team player, Kurt Zouma was made public.
According to reports, West Ham players have been angered to discover that Zouma is the highest paid player in the club as he gets paid £125,000-per-week.
The 27-year-old joined West Ham on a four-year contract from Chelsea FC in the summer, but all indications show his teams were unaware of his weekly wages, an information that was made public this week after Kurt Zouma was fined £250,000 which is said to be a sum of his two weeks’ wages.
Zouma has been fined £250,000 by the Hammers and has had his cats taken away from him by the RSPCA after he was filmed kicking and slapping them.
West ham forwards Michail Antonio and Andriy Yarmolenko are said to earn about £100,000-per-week inclusive of bonuses while key players like Declan Rice, Tomas Soucek, Pablo Fornals and Vladimir Coufal, are said to earn significantly less.
The revelations could reportedly bring about a ‘mutiny’ over wages, with the east London club set to be inundated with players asking for an upward review of their contracts.
