Ibadan Kingmakers Appoint Next Olubadan Of Ibadan

Kingmakers of Ibadan known as the Olubadan-in-Council have announced the nomination of Dr. Lekan Balogun, a former senator as the next Olubadan of Ibadan land as only 10 out of the 11 members of the council appointed the new Olubadan.

This announcement was made by the Osi Balogun of Ibadanland, High Chief Tajudeen Ajibola today at a media briefing.

According to him, the council has also put to rest the speculation that there could be a legal tussle concerning the succession to the Olubadan throne as the kingmakers have resolved that Dr. Lekan Balogun was next in line to ascend the throne of Olubadan according to tradition.

He also debunked insinuations relating to the health and wellness of the new Olubadan-elect adding that all the negative media reports were nothing to worry about.
