All State House Visitors To Undergo Compulsory Covid-19 Tests To Gain Access

All visitors including governors visiting the Presidential villa, Abuja will from now on take a rapid covid-19 test before being allowed onto the state house. The Senior Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity Mallam Garba Shehu made this known stating that this regulation will apply to visitors of President Muhammadu Buhari and any other person visiting the State House.

Mallam Garba Shehu said in his statement that the new regulation for gaining access into the Villa became imperative, following the global spike in the virus’ cases, especially the Omicron variant and the recent outbreak of covid-19 among some of the presidential aides and officials informed this decision.

The presidential spokesman, however, noted that some exceptions had been made for a few leaders coming from outside, though such persons are still encouraged to still take the test for safety reasons.
