NO Explosion At Any Airport, Housing Estate in Northern Nigeria – FAAN

The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has emphatically denied reports making the rounds online that the Maiduguri Airport was rocked by a bomb explosion purportedly masterminded by Boko Haram insurgents.

In a statement signed by the G.M Corporate Affairs of FAAN Mrs. Henrietta Yakubu the so called incident never occurred. “(FAAN) hereby notifies passengers and the general public that there was neither an explosion, nor intrusion at the Maiduguri Airport”.

In Conclusion Yakubu emphasised that “The airport was not targeted, and is not under any attack whatsoever”.
