Nigerian Communications Commission Approves 5G Network To 3 Telecommunication Companies
The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has announced that the forthcoming 3.5 gigahertz (Ghz) spectrum auction which is for the development of the fifth generation (5G) have given to MTN Nigeria Communications Plc, Airtel Networks Ltd and Mafab Communications Ltd, as approved bidders.
This was disclosed by Dr Ikechukwu Adinde, Director, Public Affairs, NCC today in a statement. He noted that the qualified bidders met the criteria for participation in the licensing process of 3.5Ghz spectrum, including payment of the stipulated Intention to Bid Deposit (IBD) as outlined in the Information Memorandum (IM).
