World War 2 Bomb Explodes Near a Train Station in Germany
A World War II bomb has reportedly exploded at a construction site next to a busy railway line in Munich, Germany today. Although according to German authorities, the explosion is said to have injured 4 people with one seriously wounded, no casualties have been recorded.
The construction site is for a new commuter train line is located on the approach to Munich’s central station, which is about a half-mile to the east.

Trains going to and from the station were suspended immediately but service resumed after a few hours. A few local trains were evacuated and fortunately, the fire service said there was no damage to the tracks.
Discovery of unexploded bombs are still found all around Germany, even 76 years after the end of the war and mostly when construction work is ongoing.
