11 Political Parties Challenge Victory of former CBN Governor Prof. Soludo

No fewer than 11 political parties have separate filed petitions with the Anambra State Governorship election tribunal challenging the victory of Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) as the Governor-elect of the state.

This was disclosed by the Secretary of the tribunal, Barr Surajo Gusau today as the political parties alongside their candidates made the filing of their petitions on Monday and Tuesday.

However, the suit seeking the disqualification of the Anambra State Governor-elect, Professor Charles Soludo of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has been dismissed by the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja today, 1st of December, 2021.

While delivering the judgment, Justice Taiwo Oladipupo described the suit as frivolous, irritating, and lacking in merit.

The judge then awarded a punitive cost of N2 million against the two plaintiffs to be paid to Prof. Soludo and his deputy, Ibezim.
