Davido Donates 250 Million Naira To Orphanages Across Nigeria

Multiple award winning singer, and record label executive David Adeleke A.K.A Davido has today donated the sum of a quarter of a billion Naira to Several Orphanages across Nigeria. The FIA crooner made this announcement on his verified twitter handle following a fund raising blitz that lasted over four days.

On the 17th of November 2021 Davido Started out by calling out his friends and associates on instagram asking them to send a million Naira to him via his newly opened Wema Bank account. His fans and several socialites quickly jumped on board sending him various sums of money.

The “fund raiser” was the talk of the town for days, as the Afrobeats star had many “tongues wagging” while many supported the fund raiser a large number of people also criticised the move. Adeleke is sure to have more people talking with his decision to give all the money he raised away to charity.

The singer has set up a 5 man committee to oversee the equal distribution of the funds in a transparent manner while also revealing that he would organise an annual fund raiser to commemorate his birthday while also giving back to people in need.
